Han-Wei Chang

Ms. Han-Wei Chang is now the chair of the board at Taiwan Youth Climate Coalition (TWYCC), the first youth environmental NGO in Taiwan that advocates youth empowerment in climate action and public awareness of climate change. In 2018, Han-Wei joined TWYCC to work for the Youth Climate Manifesto, in which TWYCC compiled the younger generation’s perspectives toward government climate policies, processes, and desirable changes. At the end of 2018, receiving TWYCC’s training, as one of TWYCC’s delegation members in Conferences of Parties (COP24) held under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Han-Wei tracked the climate negotiation on the Paris Agreement rulebook and brought insights back to Taiwan to share with civil society from a youth perspective and to promote climate empowerment for Taiwanese youth.
