Anny Chang

Story

Nominated as Prestige 40 under 40 Taiwan in 2018 and the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia Social Entrepreneur in 2017, Ms. Anny Chang is a young changemaker who believes that education exists everywhere.

In 2015, she turned down a job offer from a start-up in Hong Kong, and instead, started her own social business—International City Wanderer Education Association. The City Wanderer was originally an idea for an assignment back in the university, a competition that encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones and rethink their life and future, in which Anny found that most Taiwanese students focused too much on academic performances while overlooking the importance of learning outside the classroom; therefore, she decided to turn this assignment into her business project.

Operating programs that have so far reached over 11,000 students from the age of 16 to 26, Anny's organization has been encouraging Taiwanese students to take up social causes, including but not limited to helping the homeless and protecting indigenous culture.
