Story

Mr. Jason Hwang is a political officer at the American Institute in Taiwan. A career foreign service officer with the U.S. Department of State, he previously worked in Washington as Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs and as the political-military officer in the Office of Chinese and Mongolian Affairs. He has also been posted overseas at the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam and at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, China. Prior to joining the Department, he worked as a management consultant for Monitor Group in Cambridge, MA and Johannesburg, South Africa. From West Windsor, New Jersey, Jason holds a Bachelor's of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
